Policy for a national distributist britain:
The main ideologies of the NDP can be described as nationalism, social conservativism, distributism, agrarianism, and environmentalism. Through these stances, and through these stances alone, may we see Britain flourish. The mainstream political parties have abandoned us, placing their greed and profit over the people of this great nation. Within this page, we will provide a brief overview of our policies. If you are willing to read and find out more about our policies, you can download a copy of our manifesto under the 'manifesto' tab or by clicking here.
Distributism:
Distributism, our core economic philosophy, stands as a 'third-positionist' system, opposing both laissez-faire capitalism and state socialism—two ideologies we consider equally flawed and exploitative. At the heart of Distributism lies the belief that no single entity should amass unchecked power and wealth within a single market. Instead, such power should be equitably distributed among as many owners as possible. This ensures that our nation's citizens can achieve self-reliance.
Unlike socialism, Distributism does not centralise the means of production under the state. Instead, it disperses ownership across a broad spectrum of individuals, preventing domination by a select few or large corporations. A fundamental principle of Distributism is subsidiarity, advocating that larger entities should not perform tasks that smaller ones can manage. Families should be empowered to provide for themselves, guided by the proverb, "Give someone a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach the person to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."
Other tenets of Distributism include the promotion of private property rights, the dissolution of exploitative private banking practices, the establishment of guilds, robust anti-trust legislation, and the championing of an artisan-based society. In essence, Distributism champions 'industrial democracy' and the cooperative business model.

Agrarianism:
We wish to live in an environment that is both beautiful and healthy. Given that the membership of the NDP is drawn from those who believe in living in balance with nature, our rural policy will reflect that stance. The NDP believes that there is a vital & deep co-operation to be struck between ruralism and urbanism. However, we believe ruralism is by far the healthier for it possesses all essential qualities in life that produces a healthy population and national culture. As a party, we oppose the ever-increasing urban sprawl of cities and the destruction of our countryside caused by uncontrolled urbanisation and the disturbing rise in materialism of modern life, which has disconnected the people from the land and its importance.
We oppose the profit driven greed of the capitalist corporations and the mania for industrialisation of our food production. Instead, we favour traditional practices such as that of the organic family farms, home steading, and independent artisanship of our food supply that favours rural communities and positively rejuvenates regional identity, local food and traditional culture. We wish to promote a strong level of self-sufficiency and independence in food production within individual counties and the nation as a whole. As a party we offer a different direction, a direction that produces, and champions, a healthy urbanism that works in harmony with the rural way of life. This involves reducing the power and cultural influence of major cities. We favour the regeneration of hamlets, villages & market towns, and a strong push to returning our people back towards a healthier way of life, embracing strong communities, beauty, nature and the organic.
A policy that the NDP favours to achieve this goal is the creation of a rural community scheme that creates small holdings such as that in Scotland with crofting. Small pieces of land may be leased to families that want to farm and work the land. Crofting is a traditional social system in Scotland defined by small-scale food production. Each croft is usually 2–5 hectares in size. Crofting makes a valuable contribution to the economic and social development of Scotland. The creation of a similar scheme would provide a level of self–sufficiency and independence not seen in generations. This scheme would provide a greater number of independent producers, and would give them access to local markets, giving those who took part in the scheme a greater quality of life that would normally not be possible; property prices in the countryside are extremely high and beyond most people’s means. This scheme will give families, as well as the national community, greater access to organic healthy produce, not dependent on imports or food controlled by supermarkets.
Reducing the need for foreign imports and the power of corporate entities, such as supermarket chains, would be an important part of NDP policy. We recognise the English countryside, and our relationship with it is ingrained within our identity as a people, a relationship that will be protected by the NDP, so that it can be handed down to our children. The NDP will function as a body to restrain the destruction of our home by giving strong emphasis in research & development of non-polluting technological advances.
Other policies supported by the NDP include those to revitalise the textile industry in Britain through the promotion of natural fibres. This return would see a revitalisation of the trade in wool instead of current synthetic fibres that break down into micro plastic that end up in the food chain, causing huge environmental damage. Wool is worth nothing in England currently because it is classed as a global commodity on the international market. The NDP in its policy to drive for self-sufficiency would suspend its importation of man-made fibres and wool from other countries, or at least place high tariffs on them. This action would also reduce the amount of mass-produced industrial material being imported and would see the revival of an independent domestic textile industry.
Our aim should be to see a reduction in intensive farming to a more traditional, less environmentally demanding or mechanistic practice. Smaller plots of land, but with more people participating in the agricultural sector.

- There will be no farm larger than that held by a family estate
- Environmental and wildlife protection and animal welfare
- Environmental restoration – Reforesting native forest, wildflower meadows, Waterways
- Corporate owned holdings (foreign / domestic) will be seized, corporate owned farmland will have their holdings confiscated, with the land given over to ESHC (English Small holding community) or given for lease to local residents of established farmers of that county
- Multi - generational Family Farms, as well as the farming community as a whole, would be provided support by the state where needed
- The compulsory purchase of large estates owned by NGOs
- Battery farming would be immediately banned
- Ban on harmful pesticides
- Greater flexibility in sustainable farming practices which would be championed over ever-expanding industrial farming
- Giving the farmer greater power over supermarket chains.
- The NDP will create policy in which wool will be traded on domestic prices not on global commodity and will look into options to increase its value as well as promoting natural fibres
- Making training in rural trades more accessible through rural Guildship
NATIONALISM & SOCIAL CONSERVATISM:
The Necessity and Protection of Culture:
The United Kingdom stands as a testament to the power of culture, tradition, and values. These elements form the foundation of our national identity, reflecting the shared history, customs, and beliefs that bind us as a people.
Our commitment to preserving our cultural legacy is resolute. Britain's cultural heritage is a treasure trove of regional accents, dialects, and languages, each reflecting the unique character of our nation. Our contributions to arts, literature, music, cinema, folklore, and the performing arts have not only enriched our society but have also resonated globally. It is crucial that we safeguard these cultural gems for future generations.
To instill a profound sense of cultural pride in our youth, we pledge to reform our educational curriculum. We will celebrate British achievements, from scientific breakthroughs to historical figures who have shaped our nation. Patron Saint days, along with the Queen's birthday, VE and VJ day, and Remembrance Sunday, will become public holidays. These occasions will be marked by military parades, music, and local produce stalls, fostering a sense of national unity and love for our country.
Our commitment to linguistic diversity extends to the revitalisation of national languages such as Manx, Cornish, and Scots, in addition to English and Welsh. These languages are vital components of our identity, and their preservation ensures a profound connection to our roots. We will invest in educational reform to ensure that future generations can speak their native tongues and appreciate their cultural significance.
The arts have been a cornerstone of British culture for centuries. To support and celebrate our vibrant cultural scene, the National Distributist Party will implement the following measures:
Theatre and Performing Arts: The NDP will provide financial aid to theatres across the nation, enabling them to reach wider audiences and continue producing high-quality performances. We recognise the importance of theater in storytelling and preserving our heritage.
Visual Arts: Local councils and authorities will commission works from local artists, resulting in more statues and sculptures that honor our legends and cultural icons. Public spaces will reflect our rich history and artistic achievements.
Arts Education: The NDP is committed to ensuring that all children and young people have access to high-quality arts experiences. We will allocate resources for staff, professional development, materials, facilities, and equipment to promote arts education. Our curriculum will integrate the arts to help children appreciate our cultural tapestry.
Immigration & Assimilation:
In crafting a fair and effective immigration policy, the National Distributist Party advocates for a net migration rate set at 0. We believe that immigrants should undergo a series of assessments to ensure they align with British values and contribute positively to society. These assessments include English language proficiency, a knowledge test of British values, and a points-based evaluation, similar to Australia's system. Such measures are essential for preserving our cultural identity and promoting successful assimilation.
In addition to these assessments, comprehensive background checks will be conducted to screen out individuals with a criminal history. Immigrants will be expected to secure employment within their first year in the UK. Those who are unable to do so will be repatriated to their country of origin, as it is neither economically sustainable nor fair for British taxpayers to support them.
Furthermore, the NDP supports the deportation of first-wave immigrant criminals and dual nationals who engage in criminal activities.
Illegal immigration poses a growing concern for the UK, with thousands of migrants successfully reaching our shores in recent years. Many of these individuals exploit the legal system with the help of "human rights" lawyers, often resulting in their continued residence in the UK. This must come to an end.
Illegal immigrants are categorised as such for valid reasons, whether due to criminal records, lack of identification, or other factors. It is a matter of safety and security for our nation that we cannot ignore.
While some may defend illegal immigrants, we believe in upholding the law and safeguarding our citizens. Legal avenues for immigration exist, ensuring that individuals have the necessary documentation and clean criminal records to enter the country.
Once illegal immigrants enter our territory, it becomes our duty to repatriate them either to France or their country of origin. However, in line with Christian principles, we acknowledge the importance of providing safe sanctuary to the most vulnerable refugees, with the expectation that they will eventually return to their homeland through lawful means.
In the pursuit of a cohesive and united society, the NDP recognises the importance of assimilation. Assimilation signifies both the process of becoming similar to our shared values and the integration of people, ideas, and cultures into our broader society.
To advance our nation, all citizens must work towards a common goal: the betterment of our country. Unfortunately, in the 21st century, there are segments of society that appear to disdain their own heritage, culture, and national identity. This phenomenon is partly attributed to the influence of globalism and social liberalism promoted by elites.
To counter this trend and ensure future generations take pride in their heritage and identity, we advocate for the creation of a sense of belonging and community. This vision will be realised under a national distributist society that prioritises the family unit, celebrates cultural festivals and historic traditions, and welcomes all Britons into a harmonious society.
Protecting the Family Unit:
The nuclear family is the cornerstone of a stable and harmonious society. It provides economic and emotional stability and nurtures our future generations. To support families, the NDP will introduce a comprehensive 'pay scheme' designed to alleviate financial pressures and promote family values. Key components of this scheme include:
Financial Support: Families will have the option to take out no-interest loans of £15,000 per child. Families with three or more children will see a reduction in their tax burden, fostering a culture of family support.
Abortion Policy: The NDP will restrict abortion to cases of potential maternal death, rape, and incest. These limitations reflect our commitment to valuing life and promoting responsible choices.

PROTECTING THE Environment:
The National Distributist Party recognises the urgent need to address the climate crisis, both within Britain and on a global scale. We are dedicated to safeguarding our environment at all costs and fostering a harmonious relationship between our nation and the land we call home.
Our green policies emphasise the importance of utilising local produce rather than relying on imports. We believe in building a nation that respects and integrates with its natural surroundings. Town planning should embrace the natural materials available, creating communities that truly reflect the character of our people and the land they inhabit.
The NDP is resolute in its commitment to protect the environment from the scourge of plastic waste. We pledge to ban single-use plastics in Britain, contributing to a cleaner and healthier world. Our policies are designed to ensure that Britain plays its part in safeguarding not only our homeland but also the entire planet.
To combat the climate crisis, we propose a multi-pronged approach to energy production. This includes harnessing the power of nuclear, solar, and wind energy. These renewable sources will enable Britain to transition to a more sustainable and eco-friendly future. We are committed to making Britain a leader in green energy.
We firmly believe that nuclear energy, when managed correctly, can be one of the safest, most efficient, and cost-effective forms of renewable energy. Unlike fossil fuels, nuclear power does not produce harmful greenhouse gas emissions like methane and CO2. It is on par with or even cleaner than other renewable sources like wind and solar energy.
Nuclear power offers a crucial advantage—it is not subject to the intermittency of wind or solar power. While wind turbines may halt when the wind subsides, and solar panels cease operating during nighttime, nuclear energy remains constant and uninterrupted. This reliability ensures that the people of Britain have access to a stable energy supply.
We understand the importance of affordable energy, particularly for working-class families. The NDP is committed to providing cost-effective energy solutions. We will continue to utilise our remaining coal supply to support those in need until nuclear power plants can fully meet our energy demands.
The NDP pledges to construct more nuclear power plants across the UK, promoting safe, efficient, and affordable energy for our citizens. These initiatives will not only enhance our energy security but also create job opportunities for hardworking men and women across Britain.
Together, with a focus on green solutions, we can protect our environment, mitigate the effects of climate change, and secure a sustainable future for generations to come. The NDP stands as a steadfast advocate for a greener, cleaner, and more prosperous Britain.
